Dear Zofia Agnes ,his quaint area..........

Following the kings footsteps, we will start from Barbakan 'Porta Gloriae' of Polish kings. We will pass the Saint Florian Gate and the Florian street to the main market square. We will see the famous created by Wit Stwosz and the Hejnal played from the church tower will remind us of the ongoing life. After this we pass the Sukiennice, and stop at the statue of Adam Mickiewicz one of Poland's renown poets. After a last glance on the market square, city hall tower, florists and chariots we continue onwards to the Popes window and the Beautiful stain glass windows of Wyspianski. A stroll along Grodzka street we encounter a Baroque church of Peter and Paul, and a simplistic church from the medieval, Saint Andrews Church. From here we take Kanonicza Street to the footsteps of Wawel Castle we visit its Courtyard and cathedral. After this we see the Cross of Katyn and a relic of folklore tales, the Dragon.
Now we are in the Jewish Suburb Kazimierz, according to Jewish Calendar we are in the year 5768. First a visit to the Synagogue then on to the ritualistic Jewish baths 'Mykwa'. In Kazimierz visitors can see how the Jewish way of life has persisted alongside traditional Polish culture, the remnants of the past emerging beside new cafes and dance clubs. We then visit the Cemetery of Reme, the Jewish Wall of prayer and later Meiselsa Street, the Isaac Synagogue, Kupa Street and house of Prayer 'Kwohea L'ltim Tora', all telling a part of Krakow's Jewish story. Here in Kazimierz Helena Rubinstein and Oscar Schindler have left their mark. For those that fancy there is Jewish cuisine and music.
rtel Thorvaldsen. In the cathedral we can also visit the Grave of the poets Adam Mickiewicz, Juliusz Slowacki, and other important figures Jozef Poniatowski, Tadeusz Kosciuszko and Jozef Pilsudzki.Krakow is a University Town from 1364, firstly an Academic and from the 19th century became the Jagiellonian University on which Copernicus or Karol Wojtyla was studying. With its beautiful courtyard we see the oldest building Collegium Maius. Remarkable monuments connected with the University Suburb are Saint Anna's Church and Collegium Novum. We will visit old academic dorms and get a taste of education back in the day.
While visiting Krakow's cathedral placed on Wawel, we will see old monuments with their unique mix from many centuries strongly connected with Polish history. Among these are Polish King's memorials and Zygmunt's bell the biggest one.......
